Reagan Maginn is a Dallas/Fort Worth based concert and media composer whose become known for his keen ability to connect emotionally with audiences, allowing music to be a dwelling place for expression. Reagan writes with the conviction that awe-filled, beautiful music, and the arts in general, have transformative power to touch the hearts and minds of people. His musical language is elegant, with a wealth of fluidity and heart. He is influenced largely by composers of the Romantic period, the American Jazz tradition, and the power house film composers of Jerry Goldsmith and Alan Silvestri. Maginn has now been writing commercial music with brands across the US for over 5 years; writing for Change-Maker Award winning ad campaigns and film festival premieres. 

Reagan Maginn began his musical journey as a blues rock guitarist, but was captivated by the rich sonorities experienced as a part of his University’s chorale, performing the Mozart Requiem under the direction of Dr. Thomas Matrone at Evangel University. It was this experience that encouraged him to begin writing his own classical music, score independent films and utilize local conducting opportunities. While completing his B.S. in Recording Technology with minor concentrations in Composition and Choral Conducting under Matrone and Dr. Jason Salazar, he took his first industry position as an assistant with Nick Sibley, a commercial music and jingle writer for nation-wide brands. In 2022, he began his MA in Composition with a related field in Instrumental Conducting at the prestigious University of North Texas in the greater Dallas area, now named one of the top 20 Music Colleges in the world according to Hollywood Reporter, expanding his skills from world-renown composer Dr. Sungji Hong, Dr. Drew Schnurr, the highly acclaimed film composer Bruce Broughton, and maestro Dr. Clay Couturiaux.
